Some of these stories are about my family, either my children, wife, siblings, parents, grandparents, extended relatives, or events impacting any of these. But many of these stories are about me. I don't write them because I am being egotistical (though, I may have that tendency). I am not famous, important, or known beyond a narrow circle where I have contributed my work, time, and energy. The stories about me, I write trying to capture ordinary things happening to an ordinary person. I am hoping that some great-great grandchild (or other relatives) can read these and get a snapshot what of life was like in the time period that I lived, as well getting some insights into what this one person experienced and thought about in this period.
