Bike Trips

I am defining a trip as an event of at least 40 miles (but one may possibly be included if the distance was less, but there were special circumstances).

1976 (±1) - summer - Marcia and I, with Jo and her boyfriend Kevin, biked from St. Cloud to various parts of rural Sherburne County: Story forthcoming
1976 August - I biked from St. Cloud to Duluth with Norm and then to Gooseberry Falls, then Okontoe, then to Thunder Bay. Then home: Story forthcoming

1991 - July - To train for the next item below, usually the four of us made some long rides to prepare. They were usually between 60 and 100 miles.: story forthcoming
Biking the Canadian Rockies - August 1991: Al Moen (1933-2018), John Miller, and John De Jong (1931-2022) (plus Julia Moen and Joline De Jong) drove to northern Alberta and biked south, crossing the continental divide thrice, ending in Glacier National Park.
1992 - May or June - Al Moen, John Miller, John De Jong and I drove to southern MN and biked around Winona and then on the Root River Trail: story forthcoming

Biking with Tim - July 2025-: Tim and I biked for three days after I brought Landon back from the cabin. We did two days of biking in South Carolina and our last day we were just over the border, in North Carolina.
